In my Sociology class, we had to write every hurtful word we’ve ever been called on a sticky note and then stick it to our body. We then went around and took them off of each other. Most of us in tears…this is the aftermath.

On the last week of April we trained the regional trainers of first grade teachers in the Philippines. We started a Facebook page where we can post links so all the teachers can download all our documents and visual aids for free.
We encourage all the teachers to adjust the lesson plans to fit their regions, and one translator went as far as to add photos of weaves and architecture particular to the Tausug. Perhaps it will be helpful for everyone.

Spent the special holiday - EDSA anniversary - at a family lunch at the Navotas Fish Port Authority.
This is where the fish get dropped off before going to the markets. Right before lunch, I asked arranged a future field trip - a tour, and could we maybe go on the boats? perhaps eat lunch there as well?
Such is the teacher - everything can be turned into a lesson plan. Even holidays and vacations.
